![]() ![]() ![]() The key difference between the matte and matte x formulas is that the matte is again more of a “comfort matte”, which results in a matte finish that does not dry out your lips. If you haven’t read my previous Lux Lipstick review (here: x), these Lux Lipsticks are described as a “comfort matte” (they won’t dry out your lips however it isn’t 100% a matte finish though the longer you wear it the more matte it becomes) and I have found the Lux Lipsticks to be more transfer-proof compared to other traditional bullet lipsticks, however do not expect the longevity of a liquid lipstick because that definitely won’t happen! As for the Lippie Stix, this collection contains three mattes (Ink Blot, Sike and Persuasion), one crème (Little Tings) and two matte x’s (Lullaby and Fly-Fi). If purchased individually, it comes to $56 USD, so if you’re looking for a saving the set is the way to go! Unlike the Lippie Stix, the Lux Lipstick set does not come with special packaging- so it should be seen more as a bundle deal rather than a limited edition set. If you are after all of the colours, the New Theory set works out to be cheaper ($25 for the set or $33 if purchased individually), plus you get the adorable packaging to match! As for the 8 Lux Lipsticks (which retail individually for $7 USD), you can purchase them as a set for $52 USD. ![]() Though I’m not much of a pink lipstick girl, I do love some of the shades in here! The Lippie Stix can be purchased as part of the “New Theory” lip set for $25 USD, or individually for $5.50 each. This collection contains 8 Lux Lipsticks and 6 Lippie Stix- with most falling in the pink category. Let’s all take a moment and pray for my lips! The review on Colourpop’s Butterfly collection finally has a part 2, and I am excited for these swatches (but also scared that my lips may fall off)! ![]()
